The number of regular member companies reaches 50
The number of member companies of the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER) reached 50 on September 3, 2024, thanks to the understanding and participation of member companies from a wide range of industries (some companies are not publicly disclosed).
Since its establishment in June 2022, we have received a cumulative total of 62 cases (48 to member companies and 14 to non-member companies), assisted 18 member companies in handling grievance cases, and closed 21 cases.
We will continue to accept a wide range of grievances from rights holders and stakeholders, and will make efforts and improvements so that our member companies can appropriately respond to social demands in the areas of business and human rights.
